Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Cardiac Rehabilitation at Cape Regional Medical Center is a medically supervised program to enable heart patients to recover quickly and improve their overall physical, mental and social functioning. The goals of a patient's cardiac rehabilitation are to decrease blood pressure, body fat and heart rate and increase energy, endurance and the patient's overall understanding of herat disease.

The goal of Pulmonary Rehabilitation is to restore and promote healthy habits and improve day-to-day living experiences. Those who suffer from pulmonary diseases, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and related conditions that may hinder their living activities, benefit from a supervised program of exercises and education.

Both cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation patients at a Cape Regional Medical Center receive support from staff and fellow patients, gaining self-confidence and a commitment toward a healthier lifestyle. .

Our Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs are nationally certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
