At Cape Regional Medical Center, we know that time spent with family and friends is important to the health and recovery of our patients. In this section, you will find useful information about visiting a patient, such as visiting hours and where you can grab a bite to eat. You will also find a list of guidelines we ask all visitors to follow for the privacy and well-being of our patients.

Visiting Hours Inpatient Areas
10 a.m to 8 p.m.
4 East, 2 East, and the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Exceptions

Critical Care Unit (CCU).
11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Flowers are not permitted in CCU.

Pediatrics
10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
One parent may stay overnight.
Siblings and minor permitted with prior permission.

Cape Maternal & Newborn Care Center
Laboring Process
Support Persons -(2-3) with prior permission and proof of childbirth preperation.
Children (Siblings only) - Accompanied by an Adult.
Post Partum Newborn Period
Father or Major Support Person 24 hours/day.
Grandparents and Sibling 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Open Visiting 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
a.) 2 Visitors and Father at a time
b.) All visitors must be over 14 years of age except for siblings.

Where To Eat

Subway Sandwich Shop Cape Regional Medical Center welcomes visitors and guests to visit The Subway, located just inside the main entrance. Open Monday - Friday 6:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturday - Sunday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Vending Machines  For your convenience, vending machines offering beverages and snack foods are located throughout the hospital.

Cafeteria  Located on the ground floor of the Medical Center, the cafeteria is open for breakfast from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, for lunch from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and for dinner from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The Auxiliary Gift Shop

The New, Fresh, and Updated Auxiliary Gift Shop is conveniently located inside the main lobby of the Medical Center. It offers a wide selection of gifts, cards, toiletries, toys, clothing, jewelry, chocolate, candles and live plants. All proceeds to Gift Shop sales benefit the projects of the Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. The Gift Shop is open Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturday - Sunday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Visitor Guidelines

Only two visitors are permitted in a patient's room at one time
Visitors should not bring food or beverages for a patient without the physician's approval
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hospital
Children under 14 years of age should not be on the nursing units
For sanitary reasons, visitors are asked not to use the patient's rest room facilities.
Please ask at the nurses' station for the nearest facility.
