June 13, 2017
Cape May Court House - Local residents and summer vacationers with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries now have another convenient health care option. Cape Regional Health System has announced the opening of its second Urgent Care Center located at 406 Rio Grande Avenue in Wildwood, New Jersey.
Cape Regional Urgent Care provides care for injuries and illnesses that don’t require a trip to the Emergency Department or a primary care physician, such as minor eye injuries, fractures and sprains, lacerations or abscesses. Other services include: IV fluids and medication, on site lab, on site digital X-ray, EKG, occupational medicine, physicals, nebulizer therapy and prescriptions electronically prescribed.
“We’re pleased to offer two state-of-the-art Urgent Care Centers that provide the same warm, friendly, compassionate care that patients come to expect from Cape Regional Health System,” said John Ruskey, D.O., Cape Regional Urgent Care Medical Director. “The new Wildwood facility, along with our Cape May Court House facility, are designed to meet the healthcare needs of our local and visiting families, providing excellent care for non-life-threatening emergencies – without the wait. It’s one-stop comprehensive quality care.”
The new Wildwood Urgent Care Center features 10 patient suites, state-of-the-art digital X-rays, electronic medical records and a children’s reading and play area. The physicians at Cape Regional Urgent Care are board-certified and have extensive working experience in both community and urban Emergency Departments, giving them the advantage of experience with a wide spectrum of diseases and diverse populations.
The new Wildwood location, joins the original Cape Regional Urgent Care at 11 Court House S. Dennis Road in Cape May Court House. Both Urgent Care Centers are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Wait times at Urgent Care Centers are typically shorter than those seen in hospital Emergency Departments, and the cost to the patient is usually less. Walk-ins are welcome at both facilities, and most insurance plans are accepted. For more information, call 609-465-6364 or visit www.caperegionalurgentcare.com.
