Cape Regional Health System Recognized as “Healthcare Champions” and “Top Team” by the American Cancer Society

CAPE MAY COUNTY – The American Cancer Society and Cape Regional Health System have been partners in battling cancer for decades. Each year, Cape Regional’s team members also support and participate in two of ACS’s major events – The Relay for Life and Making Strides for Breast Cancer. Officials from the American Cancer Society recently visited Cape Regional Health System to recognize them as the “Healthcare Champion” for the Relay for Life in Middle Township, NJ and as a “Top Team” for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Ocean City, NJ.
“As the Relay for Life Healthcare Champion for Southern New Jersey, the American Cancer Society would like to thank Cape Regional for their generosity and for welcoming us with open arms,” stated Kirby Reed, Community Manager, Relay for Life. “We so look forward to working with them for the 2017 Relay for Life on Monday, June 5th.”

The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser cancer walk for the Society. Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in more than 5,200 communities and 20 countries who give of their time and effort because they believe it’s time to take action against cancer.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks are the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting communities with a shared determination to help free the world from the pain and suffering of breast cancer.
