Linda Chao, MD. Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon Welcomed to Cape Regional Health System

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Cape Regional Health System is pleased to welcome Linda H. Chao, MD to Cape Regional Health System. Dr. Chao is a hand and upper extremity surgery specialist joining the Penn Orthopaedics at Cape Regional practice.
Dr. Chao attended the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and completed her residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Wake Forest University Medical Center. She completed the Jeffrey and Marilyn Katzenberg Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Chao completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard College, graduating with an AB degree in Human Evolutionary Biology, Economics and a certificate in Health Policy.
Dr. Chao specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery with interests in microsurgery, research, and teaching. During her orthopaedic residency, Dr. Chao served as Education Chief, where she was responsible for curriculum planning for resident didactics and resident journal club. She is an award-winning surgeon and has participated in multiple research projects and co-authored multiple scientific publications. Most recently she co-authored a presentation that was showcased at the American Society of Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) 2022 Annual Meeting in Boston.
Dr. Chao enjoys traveling, sports and cooking. She is an avid distance runner and competes in marathons and half marathons. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
