Preparing For Your visit

Cape Regional Medical Center prioritizes the health, welfare and safety of our patients, visitors and team members. We have enacted additional safety and infection prevention procedures to give you the confidence you need while you are receiving medical care at our facilities.

Whether you're here for just a day or remaining overnight, we want your stay at Cape Regional Health System to go as smoothly as possible. Please review the following information before arriving for your visit.

Outpatient Surgical Services

If you're coming for a same-day surgery, you will be scheduled for a COVID-19 test prior to your procedure. In addition, please bring the following:

  • A photo ID.
  • Your insurance card(s).
  • Co-payment (if applicable).

Inpatient/Observation Stay

If you're going to stay overnight or longer, please bring:

  • A photo ID.
  • Your insurance card(s).
  • Medical forms such as:
    • An advance directive.
    • A physician order for life-sustaining treatment.
  • A list of all your medications, including drug name, dose and frequency.
  • Medical aids, such as eyeglasses, hearing aids and dentures.

Optional items include:

  • Personal toiletries (no powder, please). However, we do provide toiletries other than denture cream.
  • Slippers.
  • A favorite pillow.
  • Cellphone and charger.
  • A laptop—we provide free wi-fi.

Please note that Cape Regional Health System cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Please leave these items at home:

  • Medications.
  • Jewelry and other valuables.
  • Cash.
