Biography
Dr. Amy S. Burhanna grew up in Drexel Hill, PA and attended Upper Darby High School. She received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Saint Josephs University in 1988. After a year of research at the Wistar Institute, she attended Hahnemann University Medical School where she received her medical degree in 1993. In June 1996 Dr. Burhanna completed her internship and medical residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland - Case Western Reserve University. She then undertook a Cardiology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, completing this in June 1999. Dr. Burhanna began her career in private practice in Bucks County, PA before moving to Cape May Court House in 2001. In December 2002, Dr. Burhanna opened Coastal Cardiology. Dr. Burhanna currently serves as Chairman of the Critical Care Committee at Cape Regional Medical Center and is Board Certified in Cardiology.
