Infusion Therapy

Not all medicines can be delivered as a pill. When it comes to treating cancer, some infections and other serious conditions, your doctor may say that your medication needs to be delivered through a needle or catheter.

Infusion therapy allows you or your loved one to receive your treatment as an outpatient. That means you can spend more time at home, work or school doing the things you enjoy—and less time at the hospital.

Our Infusion Therapy Services

At Cape Regional Health System, our chemotherapy-certified nurses use infusion therapy for a range of treatments that can't be given in the doctor's office.

Our infusion therapy services include:

  • Infusion oncology and chemotherapy.
  • Blood transfusions.
  • Antibiotic administration.
  • Iron infusions.
  • Medication infusions for gastrointestinal diseases, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis.
  • Monoclonal antibody treatment for COVID-19.
