Joint Replacement Services
With longer lifespans, arthritis of the major joints is more common than ever. According to the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, there may be a need for 500,000 hip replacements and 3,000,000 knee replacements each year by the year 2030.
Arthritis treatment begins conservatively, with over-the-counter pain relievers, anti-inflammatory medications, exercise and avoidance of activities that cause pain. However, once the pain and stiffness of arthritis prevents participation in normal activities, it may be time to consider joint replacement.
Rehabilitation Services
Whatever your rehabilitation needs, Cape Regional Health System offers a variety of convenient services to help restore your independence.
