Wound Care

They say time heals all wounds, but some injuries don't heal as efficiently as others. Treating those kinds of difficult wounds is the specialty of Cape Regional Health System's Center for Wound Healing.

We are the only advanced wound care center in Cape May County where you’ll see a wound doctor or nurse at every appointment. Each one of our nurses is certified in wound care, and all of our wound specialists are certified in the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Types of Wounds We Treat

Our wound care center treats any kind of nonhealing wound, including, but not limited to:

  • Diabetic ulcers.
  • Radiation treatment injuries.
  • Traumatic wounds.
  • Decubitus ulcers.
  • Pressure sores.

Treatments We Offer

Among the wound healing treatments offered at the wound care center are:

  • Placement of advanced dressings and wound care products.
  • Wound debridement (removal of dead tissue and debris).
  • Negative pressure vacuum (VAC) devices.
  • Skin substitutes.
  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Our wide network of specialists also allows us to provide consults with specialists such as vascular and plastic surgery experts when needed.

Appointments are required.
