Gynecological Surgery
Gynecological Surgery
It's not always easy to speak up about gynecological problems. But breaking the silence can have life-changing results.
At Cape Regional Health System, our board-certified surgeons have the training and expertise to perform complex gynecological surgeries to treat conditions such as:
- Heavy periods. We offer an innovative procedure that eliminates heavy menstrual flow in most women. This one-time, minimally invasive procedure is a safe, effective treatment that can reduce menstrual flow, monthly cramping and PMS symptoms. Unlike hormone treatments, this procedure has no impact on your natural hormonal composition, doesn't require taking daily pills and won't contribute to weight gain.

Reconstructive Surgery
Reconstructive Surgery
Looks aren't everything. But when your physical appearance is affected by a medical procedure or an accident, it can affect the way you feel about yourself.
At Cape Regional Health System, our reconstructive surgeons can help recreate parts of your body that have been damaged or changed, so you can start feeling more like your old self—and get your confidence back.
Reconstructive surgeries we offer
Our board-certified surgeons offer reconstructive procedures including:
Body contouring. Patients who undergo bariatric surgery often have loose skin after weight loss. Body contouring can help get rid of excess skin on your torso, upper arms, chest, and thighs.
Breast reconstruction. Our reconstructive surgeons use a woman’s own tissue to reconstruct breasts after a mastectomy, not artificial implants.
Complex wound surgeries. These surgeries help patients with accident-related wounds.
Coordinated surgical care for you
Surgery can be stressful. But at Cape Regional Health System, we work to make it simpler for patients and their families. If you're undergoing multiple procedures, our reconstructive surgeons coordinate with your other surgeons to ensure your treatment is efficient and effective—so you can get on the road to recovery sooner.

Outpatient Surgery
Same Day Surgery
Today, remarkable advances in surgery have created minimally invasive alternatives to traditional open surgery. Many procedures can now be done without lengthy hospital stays, severe pain or noticeable scarring. Instead, those procedures can be performed as outpatient surgeries, getting you or your loved one home the same day.
Our Same-Day Care Center offers you the peace of mind that comes from surgery in a modern, licensed hospital, supported by on-site, experienced medical professionals and technology in case you need more specialized care or admission to the hospital.
Special outpatient surgery care for kids
Young patients at the Same-Day Care Center go through a special admission, surgical and post-operative experience created especially for them. Our staff works closely with the medical center's Department of Pediatrics to meet their special needs.
Our Center of Excellence means higher standards
The Same-Day Care Center has been designed as a Center of Excellence, with you and your family in mind. This translates into benefits like convenient parking, streamlined admissions procedures and follow-up phone calls made to your home the day after your outpatient surgery. Our staff also communicates closely with your primary care physician so that he or she can stay apprised of your condition.
Unlike many stand-alone surgery centers, Cape Regional is a member of the American Hospital Association and the New Jersey Hospital Association. And we're licensed by the New Jersey State Department of Health and Senior Services. We're also accredited by The Joint Commission and the College of American Pathologists.
